For ease of getting there with little travelling Carnac in Brittany is a very nice area and the weather is usually pretty good. If you are able to travel farther then head for La Rochel and the coast in that area. For a really nice area go to Barritz. For a better chance of prolonged sun go to St Maxine or San Raphael on the South Coast of France. There is no sea on the eastern side of France as suggested by one answer you have.
